<h3 class='question'>What my Company Does</h3><br /><p class='answer'>Kela Medical is an exciting new healthcare IT Start-Up that has set out to revolutionize the medical records industry with a unique approach and cutting edge technology. Our approach empowers individuals to take healthcare into their own hands to ensure that they have access to their medical records at all time. Having access to a complete medical record will not only save the healthcare systems billions of dollars in North America but also over 200,000 lives each year. Our system uses a patent pending smart card technology which can synchronize with any medical record system in Ontario or the USA, and will work on any computer around the world without the need for a specialized reader or software. The card, known as the Kela Personal Health Record Card (Kela pHR Card for short) is being launched to the Canadian market in May 2012. Kela Medical has also introduced an IT support service build just for physicians to support the rapidly growing Electronic Medical Record industry.</p><br /><br /><h3 class='question'>What makes me a Future Entrepreneurial Leader:</h3><br /><p class='answer'>Becoming an entrepreneur is one of the best decisions I have ever made. I grew up with the dreams of becoming a physician, a plan that was put on hold with the conception of Kela Medical. Being an entrepreneur provides unique challenges each day and is constantly a learning experience. I don’t think that there is ever a point where an entrepreneur will ever claim to know everything. I have been honored to receive many great achievements that help fuel my passion to make Kela as successful as it can possibly be. These achievements include being selected by the CYBF to attend the 2011 G20 YES in France. Another notable achievement was being a recipient of the Inaugural FuEL Award. My ambitions have always been to help people, and it is what sparked my passion to work in healthcare. Being able to transition from a career in healthcare that allowed me to help dozens of individuals each day to becoming an entrepreneur with the potential to help millions is the most rewarding feeling I have ever experienced. I hope to continue to grow as an entrepreneur and build Kela to a level that it can truly create a positive impact to Canadians.</p>
